Elkhorn Manitoba is situated approximately 105 kms west of the City of Brandon and 290 kms from Winnipeg, on the Trans Canada Highway and also on the main line for the Canadian Pacific Railway. With a population of 479 in the 2016 census, Elkhorn is known for it's community spirit, rural hospitality and accomplished citizens. NHL players, country music recording artists and published authors alike have called Elkhorn home.
The Manitoba Automobile Museum located in Elkhorn has also become a major tourist attraction in the province. Visitors come from miles away to take a trip back in time. Also included in Elkhorn is a curling rink, skating rink, ball diamonds and nine hole golf course which act as a hub of activity in their perspective seasons. Elkhorn Memorial park has a gazebo, play structure and spray park for the enjoyment of families.
Elkhorn hosts many annual events. Many were cancelled in 2020 and are expected to return when pandemic restrictions allow. Each year Elkhorn celebrates Canada Day, Western Weekend, Elkhorn Agricultural Fair, Rodeo, Ball Tournaments, Hockey Tournaments, Bon- Spiels, Christmas light-up and the annual Chamber of Commerce Gala.
